Recipe: Banana Drop Cookies

The white class whipped up these delicious banana drop cookies that are fun to make at home, too! 

 

Tip: Focus on the development of your child's senses during your next meal together by describing how the food looks and feels, what it smells and tastes like, and even what sounds you hear while eating it! It's an easy and fun way to engage their language development. 

 

Here's some words to try: spicy, warm, salty, sour, cold, sweet, disgusting, tasty and delicious

 

Banana Drops Cookies

 

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas

2 cups rolled oats

1/3 of a cup of vegetable oil (olive oil)

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup of raisins

1 tablespoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Butter to butter cookie sheet

 

Directions:

 

Preheat oven to 350

 

Cut and mash bananas in a large bowl. Stir in rest of an ingredients till combined.

 

Butter cookie sheet and drop by teaspoon on to sprayed cookie sheet.

 

Bake 15 min or until lightly browned.

 

Makes 24 cookies
