Cheddar Curry Coins

INGREDIENTS: 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 pinch salt 1/2 teaspoon curry poweder 6 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese 2/4 cup butter, melted DIRECTIONS: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a large cookie sheet. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, salt and curry powder. Stir in the Cheddar cheese and melted butter to form firm dough. Roll pieces of dough into ropes as big around as a quarter. Slice into 1/4 inch slices. If dough is too soft, it can be chilled until firm. Three Kings Bread

The Red Robing class baked Three Kings Bread this week. This bread is traditionally made in some cultures around the time of a holiday called Epiphany. The bread is made in a ring to symbolize the crowns that the kings wore. We decorated the bread with candied fruit we called the "jewels" on the crowns.
